Terms of Service.

These terms explain the ground rules for using snowsolve, the browser extension that helps you work through Dr Frost Maths questions.

Effective date: 19 September 2026Version 1.0
Before you startsnowsolve is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Dr Frost Maths. Please review these terms for your situation before publishing them as final legal terms.

1. Agreement to these terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using snowsolve, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

2. What snowsolve does

snowsolve is a browser extension that can capture a visible maths question, send the selected image or extracted page text to an AI provider configured by you, and display a suggested answer or explanation.

The extension is provided as a learning aid. You are responsible for checking any result and deciding how, or whether, to use it.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • use snowsolve lawfully and in line with the rules of the websites and services you access;
  • review generated answers before relying on them or submitting them;
  • keep your provider credentials private and use only credentials you are authorised to use;
  • avoid using snowsolve to misrepresent your own work, bypass an assessment rule, or interfere with another person’s account or data.

4. AI providers and API keys

snowsolve can connect to third-party AI providers such as Groq, NVIDIA NIM, and OpenRouter. Those providers are separate services with their own terms, privacy policies, limits, and charges.

You choose whether to configure a provider and are responsible for the key you add, the requests made with that key, and any applicable provider fees. snowsolve does not guarantee a provider will be available, accurate, or suitable for a particular use.

5. Privacy and question content

Only capture and send content that you have permission to process. Do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in a question image unless you understand and accept the consequences of sending it to your selected provider.

For details about extension storage and provider requests, refer to the privacy information supplied with the version of snowsolve you are using.

6. Accuracy and educational disclaimer

AI-generated answers can be incomplete, incorrect, or misleading. snowsolve is not a teacher, tutor, examiner, or source of professional advice. You should use your own judgement and confirm important results independently.

The extension is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no promise is made that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every page, browser, question type, or third-party provider.

7. Changes and availability

snowsolve may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Features may depend on third-party websites, browser APIs, network access, or provider availability, and those dependencies may change without notice.

We may update these terms when the extension or its use changes. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

8. Ownership

snowsolve and its original code, branding, interface, and documentation are owned by their respective rights holders. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the extension for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership to you.

9. Suspension or termination

You can stop using snowsolve at any time by uninstalling it and removing any provider keys you configured. Access may also be suspended or ended if the extension is misused, if continued operation creates a security or legal risk, or if the project is discontinued.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, snowsolve and its contributors will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-data damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the extension or a connected third-party provider.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact the operator through the support address or distribution channel provided with your copy of snowsolve.

Publishing note: add a real support email and the operator’s legal name and governing-law details before making this page public.
